Sunday January 29th and 15th

On Sunday the 15th, Polly lead worship.
John came to play acoustic guitar. There was no bass guitar player.
I think the mix was acoustic guitar / drums & voices. (no extra vocalists either)

Last week, Darrell came and lead the team.
He played acoustic guitar, brought his trumpet player and his percussionist. In addition, Tom played bass and Polly sang. Our drummer didn't make it.
It was a great opportunity for me to watch from the balcony and spend time hearing the mix as it reaches the sound board. I also got to talk with Bill and Debbie about what they see and hear from the board.

I learned that we've only had 1 person running powerpoint (except when Debbie covers a week). I'd like to see the media team more closely integrated w/ the worship team. If I'd known, maybe the worship team could help recruit for more help. Also, the worship team is by no means the only thing shaping the overall experience during a service. The more we have a team approach and a team vision, the more we'll be able to present a cohesive and unified experience.
